Please join us at Russo Italian Restaurant on April 13th for an exclusive Chef’s Tasting dinner as we explore wine and cuisine from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.
Prosciutto di Parma. Balsamic vinegar. Parmesan cheese. Bolognese. The cuisine of Emilia-Romagna are the products we in the United States think of when we think of Italian food – the treasures that elevate Italian cuisine to the world stage. That’s why we at Russo Italian Restaurant are so excited our series of regional Italian wine dinners has finally arrived in Emilia-Romagna: it’s a chance for Executive Chef Tim Russo and his team to work with these truly exceptional ingredients. For example, most balsamic vinegar in the US has been aged for 60 days… but, in Emilia, we can order vinegars up to 25 years old. Most prosciutto is aged for 12 months… but in Emilia, we can order prosciutto aged for 30 months or more. We love the Italian American cuisine we make every day at Russo, but this, well, this is something different. Something exceptional, and extraordinary, and we invite you to join us in celebrating it.
Patrick Suleski, Sommelier and Beverage Director, will pair each course with wines from the Emilia-Romagna region to enhance the overall dining experience and amplify the flavors of the food. Featured wines will include the Umberto Cesari portfolio, as well as other selections from the region.
The Emilia-Romagna wine dinner will served in the beautiful “wine cave” at Russo, with an Aperitivo at 6:00pm and the first course served at 6:30pm. Tickets $125 per person and are very limited, please place your order early to reserve your seats.
